4X Made Easy - Does it work?

If anyone has any experience with 4X Made Easy, I would like to hear about it. I don’t know about you, but I highly doubt that a bunch of arrows are going to help me make money in forex. However, I have heard of one person who ran their small account up to

a pretty large sum buy using this system. From what I heard from his friends, there were a few things that he added to make the system work for him.

One of those things was watching oil and gold. I heard about this correlation before, but I never really paid too much attention to it…until now. So I looked it up again, and this is how it goes…

The CAD is heavily influenced by oil. When oil prices are trending up, it is good for the loonie and vice versa. Since the the USD is the base currency in the USD/CAD pair, there will be an inverse relationship to the trend of oil prices and the currency pair. Of course, there are many other factors that affect the value of the USD/CAD, but all things being equal I would probably want to trade on the side of the trend in oil prices. There seems to be about an 80% correlation between oil and the CAD.

The second correlation is between the AUD and gold. So same thing…Australia is the 3rd largest exporter of gold in the world and what is good in gold is good for the AUD. Since the AUD is the base currency in the AUD/USD pair, there is a direct relationship between gold and the pair…all things being equal. Most articles I read agree on about an 80% correlation.

Therefore, by association the NZD also moves in a similar fashion because it’s economy his heavily dependent on Australia’s. The number I was given was a 92% correlation to the AUD.

Most of you probably knew this, but I didn’t realize how highly correlated these commodities/currencies were! Big Grin

Yes definately watch gold/oil especially if trading the london/us market. You wouldn't want to be shorting right into major confluences of support or long into resistance, pivots and fibs. It is often accurate to the minute, either can lead the market...thus you want to figure out if something like oil or what pair is leading that session then the rest of the pairs follow.http://www.mataf.net/en/forex/trading/correlation/table/
