Hello and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Hugh Kimura and I want to become a professional independent trader.
I first started learning about trading as a senior in college after I read The Market Wizards by Jack Schwager. I then proceeded to read every book I could on the subject and opened my first stock trading account.
Needless to say, I was a terrible stock picker and lost most of my money, even at the height of the dot com boom. Then I discovered forex…
I started trading a demo forex account and finally decided that for me to take this seriously, I needed to have some real money on the line. The best way to go was a micro account, so I opened one right away.
Since then, I have been learning, trading, backtesting, blogging and doing whatever it takes to reach my goal.
I hope that you find this website interesting, educational and possibly even entertaining. My goal for this site is not only to show you my path to becoming a professional independent trader but to contribute useful information in the hopes that it will improve your trading and your life in general, regardless of your skill level.
To me, the trading lifestyle is a great way to live. Not necessarily to be a multitrillionaire (although a billion is definitely possible), but being able to do what I want to do, when I want and not have to worry about money or how much vacation time I have.
To find meaning and experience everything life has to offer and the time to spend with people who matter, that is what the trading lifestyle means to me.
If nothing else, I hope I can give you some comfort in the fact that others are going through similar experiences and it is still possible even when things are at their worst.
