Haha, thanks for the idea Cindy. I actually started using a notebook to write down notes on the trade too. Great minds think alike!

hey, Hugh… something that has been helping me is- I write down my calculations on a sheet of paper and then when the trade is complete (good or bad) I screen print the trade and print it out on the back of my calculations. It really has helped as I have a visual of what the market looked like at during and after the trade.

I took a trade yesterday and asked myself at least 4 times- are you trading just to be trading? Are you the following the rules? Yes, the rules were followed but it was not an A trade; more like a C- trade (lost 22 pips). So, in all honesty- I was trading just to be trading. Another Duh Moment.

Thanks and well said Justin. It is tough to log these trades and review them, especially when it was a bad week but it gets easier with repetition. I think we were actually on Skype when I started doing this crap, haha! Tested strategies ONLY!

I really enjoyed this post. I struggle with the same thing sometimes. I want to move up in lots and need to be patient and become a good trader first. That alone has hurt my ego and my account several times. I also make a lot of bad trades because I am just not patient and donâ€™t wait for a good trade. I force trades. I have had a hard time with patience and this is still a work in progress. The only little solution i have done is to go over every trade I made over the week and go over them every Friday night. The only way I know how to break the bad habits is to keep trading, get better and analyze all of my trades and not make the same mistake again
