One question that a lot of newer traders have is: What time does the _______ market open again? If you are having that problem, I don’t blame you. It was confusing for me in the beginning too.
It becomes even harder to remember the Forex market hours when you are traveling. You have to convert the local time back to your home town time to figure out the GMT time to know which market is open.
Forget all that…
It used to be a little complicated to get the right tool to let you know which market is currently open. I looked back in my archive and I found a post from 2008 that showed people how to download a Yahoo widget that would help people keep track of market times.
That was cool and all, but it was a bit of a hassle to use, so I stopped using it. Besides, by that time, I already had the forex market hours memorized.
Luckily, for traders who are just starting out there is an awesome tool. It allows you to enter your local timezone and shifts the chart to show you what Forex market is currently open. On top of that, there is even a volume graph on the bottom that makes it easy to see which times of the day have the most trading volume in the currency market.
So if you are at the point where you still have to double check to see which market is currently open, bookmark this page and use the tool below as an easy reference guide. Believe me, it is way easier than doing this.
If the widget below does not work for you, go to the Oanda website to use it there. I hope that helps!
