Forget the Stickies

In a recent post I mentioned that the Stickies program is a great way to track forex trades that you are watching.  Don’t get me wrong, it still is.  But I ran into a problem the other day…what if I am tracking setups on my desktop (faster and much bigger screen) but then I have to take my laptop on the road or I am working on another computer?  I lose the information because it was only on my desktop.

So after looking at a couple solutions, I decided to go with Yahoo Widgets again.  I wrote a post about another widget that I use occasionally that shows quotes and market times but they also have a useful widget that links to the notepad feature of any Yahoo account.  It’s great becuase you can save your trading notes in the notepad and pull them up with the widget installed on any computer or just by logging into your Yahoo account.

While we are on the topic, there is another Widget that I found useful, the World Clock Pro Widget.  I wrote a post about using cheap clocks from Wal-Mart to track time zones and that works but this is a better solution if you are on the road and don’t want to carry around a ton of crap.

I set one clock to NY time and one clock to GMT.  Works like a champ!
