I have been using Oanda for about a week now and I have to say that I am pretty impressed thus far. I was a little wary of the fact that they don’t have trailing stops and their trading platform is Java based and cannot be tied in to Metatrader but it does have it strengths.
Their reporting is very good, much better than FX Solutions because they give you all the information on the trade, even where your take profit limit was placed. They also pay interest daily on the money in your account that is not in a trade. Not much of course, but pretty nice. Then there are the tight spreads, which are nice.
It was also very easy to put money into my account. I’m still working on opening the IBFX account but I hope to have that open soon.
I’ve been doing a lot of backtesting lately, so more on those results in future posts.
