]]> Hello everyone, I’ve been working on a project and was not able do my usual posts this week, but I’m getting back into the swing of things.  I did a few trades in my demo accounts and I just wanted to do a quick video on them. One is still in progress and looking good while the other got stopped out.

The trade that got stopped out was in the AUDJPY.  As you probably know, I have been watching this pair quite a bit and looking for a good place to go long.  I got a little too excited and took a trade that I shouldn’t have.  But anyway, I explain it all in this short video:

GBPCHF #2: -0.48%

As you can see from the video, I didn’t reverse the position after I got stopped out and I paid for it.  Not a good night at all, losing almost 1% on the account.  I usually don’t lose that much in a night.  I have to stop and review my trades for this month.

Same story as the previous trade, I should have reversed the trade. The final result was a -0.67% loss on the trade.

I have to fix my spreadsheet to get the risk parameters more in line.

Trade Review

This trade resulted in a -0.63% loss on the account. This was a larger loss than my maximum loss of -0.50, so I have to see why took a larger position. I think it has to do with the calculations on my risk calculator spreadsheet.

The final result was a -0.47% loss on the account. I would have been OK if I didn’t trade those stupid breakout trades. I don’t do well on breakouts, especially with that much of a move already in place.
