I’m trying to become more conscious of the news and get back in front of the screens.
On deck for today:
MPC Rate Statement – The Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee Rate decision. There is usually no statement if the rate does not change. If there is a statement it outlines the vote and the economic conditions that influenced their vote. There is speculation that the BOE will cut rates following a series of weak economic data but most analysts believe that they will keep the rate at 5.00%.
US Unemployment Claims -The consensus is that unemployment claims will be down to 370,000 from 380,000. I personally think that claims will be up or flat at best.
