Custom Metatrader Programming Review

Home / Trading Tools and Resources / Custom Metatrader Programming Review

By Hugh Kimura

Recently, I wanted to have a Metatrader indicator that sent an alert every time a currency pair hit today's or yesterday's S3 or R3 pivot point.  I know some programming, but I do not know the Metatrader programming language.

Therefore, instead of investing hundreds of hours on figuring out how to program an indicator I decided to look around for a programmer familiar with the Metatrader language, MQL4.

My Google search came up with a couple different possibilities, but I finally decided to give mqlsoft.com a try.  The prices were reasonable and it seemed like they had some experience.

I figured that even they did a bad job, there wasn't too much risk.  It is better than beating my head against the wall trying to program it myself.

So I contacted them via the email address and a guy named Witold responded quickly.  He is in Poland, but his English was very good.  It seemed like he understood was I was looking for, so it gave me more confidence.  The questions he asked me also gave me confidence that he knew what he was doing so I sent the money to get the job done.

I checked my email the next day and to my pleasant surprise, the indicator was ready.  The indicator worked and I was happy.

Shortly thereafter, I realized that I had told Witold to only send an alert when today's S3 or R3 was hit.  This was my fault, so I decided to contact him again to make another modification.

On this second run, I got the same great service and the new programming also worked well.

I do not get paid anything for recommending this service, but I just thought I would mention it because I was very happy with the results.  They do indicator and EA programming, so if you are looking for something, I would highly suggest they you give them a try.

Do not let the fact that you do not know how to program stop you from making your trading more efficient.  Even if you do not use this service, just keep in mind that a programmer can make your trading life much easier.

Do you have a good programming service that you like?  Leave a comment and let us know about it.
