Our custom RSI indicator uses the standard RSI calculation, but it adds a few super-useful upgrades. This is the RSI indicator that should come standard with MT4.

Most alert indicators require you to open one chart for every currency pair and timeframe that you want to get alerts on.

Indicator Settings Explained

Here are the settings that are available for this indicator. Unlike other complicated RSI indicators you may find on the internet, this indicator has been streamlined and is easy to use.

These settings are explained below the image.

RSI alerts multi-timeframe

  • RSIPeriod: The number of previous candles that are used to calculate the current RSI value
  • OverBoughtLevel: The upper level that will send you an alert when RSI is in overbought territory
  • OversoldLevel: The lower level that will send you an alert when RSI is in oversold territory
  • alertType:
    • CrossIntoOBOSRgn: Select this to get alerts when RSI crosses into overbought or oversold region
    • CrossOutOfOBOSRgn: Select this to get alerts when RSI crosses out of overbought or oversold region
    • Both: Get an alert when price both enters and exits overbought/oversold
  • AlertCurrent: Select true to get alerts on the current chart timeframe
  • AlertM1: Select true to get alerts on the 1-Minute chart timeframe
  • AlertM5: Select true to get alerts on the 5-Minute chart timeframe
  • AlertM15: Select true to get alerts on the 15-Minute chart timeframe
  • AlertM30: Select true to get alerts on the 30-Minute chart timeframe
  • AlertH1: Select true to get alerts on the 1-Hour chart timeframe
  • AlertH4: Select true to get alerts on the 4-Hour chart timeframe
  • AlertD1: Select true to get alerts on the Daily chart timeframe
  • AlertW1: Select true to get alerts on the Weekly chart timeframe
  • AlertMN1: Select true to get alerts on the Monthly chart timeframe
  • DoAlert: Select true to get screen/audio alerts
  • DoNotification: Select true to get mobile app alerts (needs to be setup in MT4)

Does my computer have to be turned on to get alerts?
Yes. You will install this indicator on the desktop version of MT4 and it will send alerts to you via email, mobile app push notification or screen alert. You can also get text message alerts if your mobile phone provider allows email to text notifications. If you cannot keep your computer on all the time, you can also use a Virtual Private Server (VPS) service to host MT4 and send you alerts. See our resources page to find the VPS we recommend.
Can I pay with Cryptocurrency?
Yes! You can pay with any major cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, USD Coin). Use the the cryptocurrency payment page to purchase this indicator. It might take a little longer to process your payment because we have to create your account manually, but we will set it up and email you within 48 hours. Do all RSI signals provide potential trading opportunities?

Will this work with my broker?
This indicator will work with any broker that uses the MT4 platform.
Will this indicator work on a Mac?
This indicator will work on almost all Macs that have MT4 already installed. However, if you use programs like Wine, Crossover for Mac, and PlayOnMac to run MT4, you may have issues. We strongly advise against using these types of software that try to run Windows programs without an actual installation of Windows. Programs that require an installation of Windows (like VMWare or Parallels) usually work great. The best thing to do before buying this indicator is to download a free indicator and see if you can add it to your installation of MetaTrader. If you can, then this indicator will work also.
Will this indicator work on the mobile or web versions of MT4?
No, you can only use custom indicators with the desktop version of MT4. So the best way to get alerts when you are away from your desk, is to setup an alert indicator like this on your desktop or laptop, then send the alerts to your mobile device.
How do I download the indicator after I purchase it?

Can I use this indicator on more than one computer?
