This indicator shows you:

  • The total candle range only (in pips)…OR
  • The body range only (in pips)…OR
  • Both of the above at the same time

This indicator also allows you to:

  • Determine which corner the text appears in
  • Change the font size of the text
  • Adjust the position of the text
  • Change the space between the lines

So you can have a small font in the upper left corner…

Why Our Indicator is Better Than Other Candle Range Indicators

Most of the other candle range indicators that I found on the internet show you the range of every single candle, in a graph on the bottom of the chart.

In real-world trading, that's completely unnecessary and takes up valuable space on your screen. Here's how much space one of those indicators can take up.

Indicator Settings Explained

Here's how the settings for our indicator work: 

  • Font size: Adjust the font size so you don't have to squint your eyes
  • Text color: We like gray, but you can choose any color you want
  • Text corner: Where the text appears on the chart
    • Right lower chart corner
    • Right upper chart corner
    • Left lower chart corner
    • Left upper chart corner
  • X Offset: Select the X-axis indent from the edge of the chart
  • Y Offset: Select the Y-axis indent from the edge of the chart
  • Distance Between Labels: Set the distance between the 2 labels
  • Range Type: Select which range(s) you want to see
    • Total range only
    • Body range only
    • Both

Will this work with my broker?
This indicator will work with any broker that uses the MT5 platform.
Will this indicator work on a Mac?
This indicator will work on almost all Macs that have MT5 already installed. However, if you use programs like Wine, Crossover for Mac, and PlayOnMac to run MT5, you may have issues. We strongly advise against using these types of software that try to run Windows programs without an actual installation of Windows. Programs that require an installation of Windows (like VMWare or Parallels) usually work great. The best thing to do before buying this indicator is to download a free indicator and see if you can add it to your installation of MetaTrader. If you can, then this indicator will work also.
Will this indicator work on the mobile or web versions of MT5?
No, you can only use custom indicators with the desktop version of MT5. So the best way to get alerts when you are away from your desk, is to setup an alert indicator like this on your desktop or laptop, then send the alerts to your mobile device.
Can I use this indicator on more than one computer?
