How to Measure Pips and Bars/Candlesticks on a MT4 Chart

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Hope you are doing well. In this post, I have another Metatrader tutorial for you, based on a question that I have been asked in the past. Also, I have some great news about the future of Trading Heroes. Details inside.

By Hugh Kimura

Hello, I hope your trading week went well.

This is another video in my beginner series and although you probably know this already, I have been asked this question a few times in the past, so I want to be sure that everyone is covered.

But before we get to the video, I have a couple of exciting announcements.

The News

I sent out an email and did a few blog posts a couple of months ago announcing a new trading strategy development community where traders can come to work out ideas and collectively create trading strategies that actually work.

Unfortunately, I'm very behind schedule because software that I originally purchased for the community turned out to be a black hole of time, money and brainpower.

On top of that, now they want another $150 to upgrade to their newest version. Yeah, that's not going to happen.

So I am currently testing a simpler software program and it is looking very promising so far.

I hope to have that up and running by the end of the month so the people who expressed interest in being in the community can get started.

As you probably noticed, I've been slacking a little with the blog posts, but starting next week, I'm going to be moving to a Tuesday and Thursday posting schedule.

This will allow me to keep providing you with free content, but also allow me to work on my other projects.

I am also working on a total brand redesign, complete with a new logo, new website and an updated course.

So keep an eye out for that because it will be fun and much more results focused and useful than Trading Heroes has been in the past.

There are a couple of ideas that have been rattling around in my head and with his help, I have finally been able to put them together.  Those changes are coming soon!

The Tutorial

Today's tutorial will show you how to measure how many pips are between two points on a chart, as well as the number of bars/candlesticks.

It's second nature to most traders, but if you are just getting started in trading, this is just one of those things that you have to learn.

If you are just starting out, I hope this helps.

Happy trading!
