How to Show All Available Currency Pairs In MetaTrader 4

Home / Trading Software Tutorials / How to Show All Available Currency Pairs In MetaTrader 4

A lot of my tutorials come as a result of problems that I had in the past, which I found the answer to. I figure those would be the most useful to you too.  This is just such a case.

In this tutorial, I will show you how to get access to all of the currency pairs that are available to trade from your broker, in Metatrader. Shouldn't all the available pairs be displayed by default?

Yes they should…but that might not be the case. That would make way too much sense.

My Personal Experience

One of the reasons that I like trading with Oanda is because they have a ton of currency pairs available to trade. But although I could see them in the Java platform, I could not see them in Metatrader.  I thought it was weird that they would have it only available in one platform.  It turned out that it was a Metatrader issue.

I have been with brokers that offer a lot of pairs in the demo account, but when you open a mini account, they only give you like 10.  Not that I'm a huge fan of trading every single pair that you can get your hot little hands on.

All I am saying is that it is nice to have the option.

Anyway, here is a quick 1 minute video on how to display all the pairs that are available from your broker.  You will also learn how to hide the pairs that you do not want to see…and bring them back.  If you do this and you still do not see the currency pairs that you are looking for, then you will probably have to switch brokers.
