Welcome to this episode of The Trading Lifestyle Podcast. In this episode, I sat down with Colin Jessup and found out exactly how he went from working in a warehouse to trading Forex for a living.
But that's not all, he has also become a trading mentor and will be opening his own fund soon. We talked about many different topics, but what I found the most interesting was his take on how to transition from a day job to actually trading for a living.
In the interview, he outlines what he believes is the amount of money that the average person will need to be making trading to even consider making quitting their job. He also shares how he did it and when he knew it was the right time to make the leap.
He now trades from his lakeside home in Canada and loves the fact that he his his own boss. This is also an exciting time for him because it is getting ready to open his own fund and he talks about how that is going and why he decided to do it.
What I liked the most about talking with Colin was his down-to-earth personality and practical outlook on trading. I hope you enjoy this interview as much as I enjoyed doing it.

R.I.P. Colin, I miss you my trading buddy. Thanks for all of the lives you touched during your brief time here…
Hi.. great site and info..
I used to trade before but my vision is going down the sink.. Neither able to watch charts as before nor to get up to trade the London Session..
Any recommendation on legit profitable professional forex managers?
Thank You
Hi Mori,
Thanks! Sorry, but I don’t recommend managers. There has to be a really good fit personality-wise and I don’t want to be in the middle of people getting mad at each other, if something goes wrong. Good luck finding someone though!
Colin Jessup – My inspiration. Thanks for this great article.

Nice, another student of Walter’s. Glad you like this interview and Walter’s training!
Again a great interview. It really helps as a new trader to hear the specific things people did to learn and how long it took them. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
As usually great dialog. Hugh, you are doing great job.

@Lucas Santos Glad you liked it! Thanks for stopping by.
@Lucas Santos Thanks Lucas! Glad you enjoyed it. Colin
It’s very inspiring to hear a real and sincere story of how a person passed through the psychological barrier to become a consistent trader. Here in Brazil it’s very very hard to find good information about forex or real professional traders, ’cause they don’t even exist here. So, thanks again @Hugh Kimura and @colin1 for the great information.
Nice post about <a href=”http://forex-matter.blogspot.com/2011/06/six-steps-to-success-in-forex.html”>Success in Forex</a> it would be helpful for traders
